2023 Special Event Vendor Application Form
Our 2023 Special Event Vendor Application Form (linked here) is now available for all interested vendors for the Town of Summerville Special Events for the 2023 calendar year. Our application will be open from February 10th – March 3rd. All interested vendors must submit an application but it is NOT a confirmation of being a vendor. Vendors will be selected within two weeks of the application deadline and will be emailed to the email provided on the application. Once the application is closed, it will not reopen for the remainder of the 2023 year.
Please select all interested events on the application form, as only one application is needed per vendor. If you have any questions, please contact Kelly Coghlan at kcoghlan@summervillesc.gov
Sounds on the Square Concert Series
Join the Town of Summerville for our annual Sounds on the Square Concert Series. Throughout the year we offer free concerts in Hutchinson Square in Downtown Summerville. These shows offer a variety of different bands and typically take place in April, May, June, and September from 2 - 9 p.m. Participants should bring their own chairs or blankets.

Free Movie Fridays
Free Movie Fridays are a great opportunity for families to come out and enjoy a film on the big screen in one of our parks.
These shows happen in various locations throughout the year and are open to people of any age. The movies cannot start until it gets dark outside, meaning that the start times will vary based on the different months they are hosted.

Fireworks and Freedom Festival
The Town of Summerville Fireworks and Freedom Festival is held annually on July 4 at Gahagan Park. You won’t want to miss out on this FREE family-friendly event with live music, food, fireworks, a kid’s zone, and loads of fun!
What you can bring:
Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, umbrellas, and water. Attendees can bring small lunch box-sized personal coolers.
What NOT to bring:
No large coolers.
No pets, tents of any size, personal fireworks, grills of any type, alcohol. Alcohol will be for sale at the event from Carolina Ale House and must be enjoyed in the designated area only.
Parking:
Onsite parking at Gahagan Park is extremely limited. Handicapped parking will be available directly next to the event in the front lot located off of W. Boundary St. Additional parking is also available in the open field behind the Gahagan Park Playground (enter from and exit onto W. Boundary St.). Parking is not permitted along Butler St. or W. Boundary St. Attendees are encouraged to carpool to the event or park offsite and ride the shuttles provided.
Shuttle:
Shuttles will run on a constant loop between one offsite parking location and Gahagan Park starting at 5 p.m. and continuing through 10 p.m. We will have just one shuttle stop for 2022 with two buses running between that location and the park.
***Per the shuttle company regulation, masks are REQUIRED while riding on the bus and the capacity of each bus will be limited.
The shuttle will pick up/drop off near the fountain area of the Town Hall parking lot at 200 S. Main St. You can park in the garage or anywhere else in Downtown Summerville and walk to meet the shuttle at this stop.

Special Needs Halloween Dance

Truck-or-Treat Halloween Bash
Join the Town of Summerville for our annual truck-tascular night of Halloween fun! The Parks and Recreation Department, Police Department, Fire Department, and Street Department partner to offer a great evening of Halloween fun!
We have a large variety of different vehicles, including police and fire emergency vehicles, tractors, construction vehicles, and more, for kid to climb in and explore. Children should bring a bag for candy because all participating departments pass out candy. In addition, there is a kids zone area with some inflatable items and other activities. Halloween costumes are encouraged for all participants, even you parents!

Tree Lighting Ceremony
Join the Town of Summerville for our annual Town of Summerville Tree Lighting Ceremony in Downtown Summerville. This celebration includes pictures with Santa, the countdown and lighting ceremony, letters to Santa, live window displays, and more Holiday fun!
