Public Notice #12020 CDBG Consolidated Plan and Annual Action PlanNovember 24, 2020: Notice is hereby given that the Town of Summerville plans to submit the 2020 Consolidated Plan for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) on or before December 31, 2020. An Action Plan is developed and submitted annually to meet HUD’s statutory requirements to receive CDBG funding and provides a concise summary of the activities the Town intends to carry out with its annual CDBG allocation. The 2020 Action Plan is included within the 2020 Consolidated Plan. A draft of the Town’s 2020 Consolidated Plan and Annual Action Plan is available for public review, beginning on November 24, 2020, through December 3, 2020. Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, the 30-day public comment period has been reduced to a minimum 5-day public comment period via HUD Waiver- Consolidated Planning. Written comments on the 2020 Consolidated Plan may be emailed to email@example.comFunding for all proposed activities is based upon HUD formulated allocations. The 2020 Annual Action Plan has been allocated $283,218.00 with an additional $448,337.00 being allocated to Summerville through the 2020 CARES Act to prevent, prepare for, and respond to Covid-19. A virtual public hearing to obtain community input on the drafted 2020 Consolidated Plan and Annual Action Plan will be held on December 3, 2020, at 5:30 p.m. A Public Notice will be posted on the Town of Summerville’s website with the appropriate information and the link for the public hearing.
