She was responsible for hiring, training, and supervising park staff while coordinating special events, managing the park’s budget, and served as a first responder in emergency situations. Evans earned her Emergency Medical Technician certification from Trident Technical College and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from Limestone College.

“I’m impressed with Ms. Evans’s experience, enthusiasm, and creative ideas for future projects,” Colin Martin, Summerville Town Administrator, said. “Her leadership skills compliment the needs required to be successful in this position. She has a clear vision of Summerville’s potential and understands the challenges of serving our community’s needs for passive and active recreation.”

“I’m passionate about the field of Parks and Recreation,” Evans said. “I recognize the potential within the Town of Summerville and I’m excited to become part of such a great organization.”

Evans has met the requirements of the standards set forth by the National Recreation and Park Association as a certified park and recreation professional.
