SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (Thursday, December 10, 2020) - Summerville Town Council has extended a temporary ordinance requiring the public to wear face coverings in certain circumstances in the town of Summerville through 11:59 p.m. Thursday, January 14, 2021. The vote was made at a regularly scheduled monthly council meeting on Thursday, December 10, 2020, in the best interest of public health and out of an abundance of caution in helping to reduce risk of exposure to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
All public meetings have the ability to be held electronically through Thursday, January 14, 2021. The public can watch meetings by clicking the ‘live meetings’ link on the homepage of the Town’s website.

The Town advises the public to take precautions issued by the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
